Book review on Lilly Alone

Book review
 Lily Alone, by Jacqueline Wilson
Characters and Personalities
Lily
Lily is the main character in the book; she is ambitious, friendly, and artistic. She thinks she is very grown up and tries to look after her siblings whilst her Mum is away; however she does not realise the big responsibilities such as feeding, clothing, and taking care of them.

Siblings
Bliss and Baxter are Lily's brother and sister, who are twins. Bliss is very careful when she does things, she is also timid and caring.
Baxter is the complete opposite of Bliss. He is mean, likes to mess about, and behaves like his dad Mikey but, like Lilly; he still cares about his family.
Pixie is the youngest child. She is small, cute, but sometimes annoying because she tries to act like Lily and get her own way.

Setting
At first the story is set in Lily and her family's flat. Later on in the story it is set the humongous park that you can see from Lily's flat.

Summary
This story begins as Lily's Mum goes out and leaves Lily and her siblings on their own. When her Mum returned she told her about her new boyfriend called Gordon.

Later on in the story, Gordon asks Lily's Mum to go to Spain with him, for a week. Lily's Mum says yes.

Lily and her siblings stay in the flat for a while, when suddenly her teacher came round to her flat, to check on her because she had not been going to school since her Mum went. After he had gone they packed pillows, blankits, and food because they were going to camp in the humongous park until there Mum came back.

To me this book is about fear because Lily despratly hated the idea of her going into care, gilt and blaim because she blaims herself for letting her Mum go to Spain.
