Summary
This adventurous, slightly hilarious thirteen-volume book is about three children named Violet, Klaus, and Sunny. Unfortunately, their parents died in a fire so the children became orphans at a young age. A relative called Mr. Poe looked after the children until he found them a relative who would be their guardian. Mr. Poe chose a strangely weird man called Count Olaf. Count Olaf pretended to look after the children but he was trying to get the children’s fortune but the children find out later in the story. The children hated it at Count Olaf’s because he made them share one room with one bed. They had to cook and clean for Count Olaf and his friends.
In the end the children told Mr. Poe about Count Olaf`s plan. Mr. Poe finds them another guardian who is nicer but the evil Count Olaf continues his dreadful plans.
